What We're About
Polk for Recovery is an organization that was formed to address the particular need of making recovery more accessible to everyone.
We as an organization help those in our community experiencing the negative effects of addiction and mental health challenges.
We exist as a centralized hub for resources and support in navigation of community services. The services we provide include peer support services, wellness activities, and outreach.
We are strong allies with a federally qualified health care provider to make recovery support services available to the underinsured.
We are in a partnership with our Problem Solving Court to provide those with drug related crimes recovery as an alternative to imprisonment.
We are in partnership with the Department of Children and Families to provide prevention and recovery support services to pregnant women at risk of having or have given birth to a substance exposed newborn.
We are committed to training and supporting existing and future Certified Peer Recovery Specialists.
Polk for Recovery acts to bring a face and voice to recovery, to adhere to RCO best practices and is a strong proponent of harm reduction.
