Get support from someone who’s been there. Our Certified Recovery Peer Specialists provide non-clinical recovery support and help you navigate real-life challenges. We’ll meet you where you are — in the community, by phone, or in-person. Peer Support can include help connecting to: · Substance use treatment (detox, residential, outpatient) · Mental health services · Housing and shelter resources · Food assistance · Transportation support · Health care and primary care connection · Judicial Court-related resources · Reentry support (after incarceration)
Identification (ID) Program
Getting an ID is a first step to rebuilding. Not having identification can stop someone from getting housing, treatment, employment, benefits, and stability. Polk for Recovery helps individuals work through the process of obtaining essential documentation. We can help with: · Birth certificate assistance · Social Security card support · Florida State ID / Driver’s License steps · Replacement documentation guidance · Referrals to partner agencies when needed Support depends on eligibility and document availability.
One-on-One Recovery Support
Personalized support for your recovery goals. Peer Specialists provide ongoing one-on-one support to help people build recovery capital, stay engaged, and remain connected to recovery resources. One-on-one peer support may include: · Recovery planning · Goal setting and accountability · Relapse prevention planning · Crisis support navigation · Weekly check-ins and encouragement
Free Naloxone (Narcan) + Naloxone Training
Save a life. Carry Narcan. Polk for Recovery provides free Naloxone and brief training on overdose response, recognition, and prevention. Naloxone support includes: · Free Naloxone/Narcan kits (while supplies last) · Overdose recognition training · How to administer Naloxone · Safety planning and harm reduction education · Community trainings (groups available upon request)
Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) Training
Evidence-based recovery planning that works. WRAP is a structured, self-directed process that supports individuals in building wellness, identifying triggers, and creating a plan to stay well. WRAP training is ideal for: · Individuals in recovery · Peer specialists and staff · Partner agencies and community groups Offered in scheduled classes and community trainings.
