Join Our Team at Polk for Recovery

Polk for Recovery is a nonprofit Recovery Community Organization that helps people build and sustain long-term recovery from substance use and mental health challenges. Our team is made up of people with lived experience who believe that recovery is possible for everyone — and we’re growing!

You don’t need to be certified yet to join our team — we provide training, mentorship, and on-the-job experience to help you earn your Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) credential while you work.

We’re especially interested in adding more male peers to our team to better reflect and support the individuals we serve.

As a Peer Specialist, you’ll use your own recovery experience to guide and support others. You’ll meet with individuals to offer encouragement, help them set goals, and connect them with recovery resources.
